Due to unavoidable traffic conditions, we transfer a short distance along the National Road, before continuing our ride on a quiet, sealed back road for the final 45 km to Kratie. One of today’s highlights is a stop at Prek Kampi, one of the best places in Cambodia to witness the rare and endangered Irrawaddy dolphins in their natural habitat. We arrive in Mondulkiri and check into our hotel. After a hearty breakfast in Sen Monorom, we begin our cycling adventure for the day. We start by filling up our water bottles and heading out of town, cycling along scenic dirt roads that wind through the lush landscapes of Mondulkiri province. Soon, we reach a coffee plantation, where we take a short break to visit the plantation and learn about the coffee production process in Cambodia.
Continuing on, we cycle through a mix of sealed and dirt roads, making our way deeper into the jungle. This stretch offers an immersive experience in Cambodia’s untouched natural beauty, with opportunities to stop, relax, and fully enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Our destination for the day is the stunning Bou Sra Waterfall, one of Cambodia’s most impressive waterfalls. Today, we cycling through one of Cambodia’s most fertile regions. Kampong Cham is known for its fruit orchards and rubber plantations, sustained by the rich land and Mekong River. After breakfast, we set out on a scenic 50 km ride, pedaling through rural Cambodia and gaining insight into the agricultural lifestyle of the local people.
After a well-deserved lunch, we cycle through historic rubber plantations that were first introduced by the French in the 19th century. The French initially imported rubber plants from South America, but these struggled to thrive in Cambodia’s climate. Eventually, they brought in rubber trees from Malaysia, which flourished in the fertile soil of the Mekong region, and to this day, rubber remains a significant industry.
In the afternoon, we ride the final 28 km to Kampong Thom, where we take a 45-minute transfer on National Road No. 6 to avoid busy traffic. Upon reaching Kampong Thom, enjoy a relaxing dinner and overnight stay as we continue our journey toward Angkor Wat.
Today, we embark on an exciting ride through Cambodia’s ancient history as we head toward the Sambor Prei Kuk temple complex, one of the most significant pre-Angkorian sites in Southeast Asia. After breakfast in Kampong Thom, we cycle to Sambor Prei Kuk, where we explore the ancient temple ruins, mostly constructed from brick between 615 and 650 AD. This fascinating site was once the capital of the Chenla Kingdom before the rise of Angkor, providing a glimpse into Cambodia’s early history.
As you cycle through the complex, you’ll be transported back in time, walking among the impressive remains of temples that showcase the early Khmer architecture. Sambor Prei Kuk is an incredible place to learn about Cambodia’s pre-Angkorian heritage.

We provide top-quality hybrid or mountain bikes for all our cyclists. If you have your own bike, we recommend ensuring it’s fully serviced before the tour. Our guides carry a reliable toolkit and are skilled in basic bike repairs during the trip. However, some advanced repairs may require specialized tools.
A backup vehicle will accompany the group at all times, providing security and comfort. This vehicle will carry your luggage and offer a ride if you need assistance during the ride. It will stop roughly every 15 kilometers, ensuring that you can rest, hydrate, and enjoy the scenery.
Your safety is our top priority. Wearing a helmet is mandatory on all rides. If you choose not to wear a helmet, you won’t be permitted to cycle. All of our guides are trained in first aid and emergency rescue, but we encourage all cyclists to be mindful of their own safety during the ride.
