Oudomxai holds a significant place in Laos’ history, during the Second Indochina War, it served as a strategic hub for Chinese troops supporting the Pathet Laos. Today, Oudomxai has transformed into a thriving center for trade between Laos and China, benefiting from its strategic location at the junction of National Roads 1, 2, and 4. Day 12: Pak Mong to Luang Prabang – Scenic Ride Along the Nam Ou River to a UNESCO World Heritage Site
