Your bike tours Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam kicks off with a warm welcome from our experienced local guide and driver at your hotel in Bangkok. After a professional bike fitting and safety briefing, we transfer you to a scenic starting point near Rayong, away from the city bustle.
Begin your Thailand coastal cycling tour with a picturesque ride along quiet seaside roads, covering approximately 50 kilometers. Enjoy the refreshing sea breeze and coastal views as you cycle through charming local villages and unspoiled beaches.
We’ll pause for lunch at a traditional Thai seaside restaurant, where you can enjoy authentic local cuisine. In the late afternoon, we arrive in the laid-back beach town of Rayong. Relax and unwind at your beachfront hotel, perfect for recharging after your first day on the bike.
After breakfast, we continue our journey with a scenic ride from Rayong to Chanthaburi, covering approximately 60 kilometers. Today’s route takes us through peaceful countryside roads, offering glimpses into authentic Thai rural life.
Along the way, we make several stops to interact with local communities, observe traditional ways of life, and learn about the diverse livelihoods that thrive in this region. This enriching cultural exchange is a highlight of the day.
Our main stop is the renowned Mangrove Forest Conservation and Study Center, one of Thailand’s most successful reforestation projects. Take a guided walk along elevated boardwalks that weave through lush mangrove forests and learn about the vital role they play in coastal protection and biodiversity.
We arrive in Chanthaburi in the late afternoon. Relax at your hotel and take in the charm of this historic town known for its gem markets and colonial architecture.
Following breakfast at your hotel in Chanthaburi, we begin the day with a transfer to Pong Nam Ron, where our cycling journey resumes. Ride 27 kilometers through serene countryside roads toward the Thailand & Cambodia border.
At the border, your Thai guide will assist with immigration procedures, ensuring a smooth transition. On the Cambodian side, you’ll be welcomed by our local Cambodian support crew. From here, we continue cycling 20 kilometers to Pailin, a small frontier town nestled at the foothills of the Cardamom Mountains.
Historically known as a Khmer Rouge stronghold, Pailin once thrived on its gemstone trade. Since the group’s full demobilization in 1998, the region has enjoyed lasting peace, gradually opening to visitors interested in both its natural beauty and complex past.
Cycle along red dirt roads into the heart of Pailin, a quiet and rustic town. In the late afternoon, climb Phnom Yat Hill for a stunning sunset view over Pailin. The hilltop temple here is particularly significant to the Kula Muslim minority, who have traditionally earned their living in the gemstone trade. This community represents about 5% of Cambodia’s population and contributes a unique cultural element to the town’s heritage.
Today’s ride offers a mix of gentle climbs and descents as we cycle through the picturesque foothills of the Cardamom Mountains. Departing from Pailin, we follow a quiet rural route bordered by lush rice fields and scattered villages. The road is peaceful, and the experience is made even more special by the smiling children waving hello from their homes.
We take a mid-morning break under the shade of a large tree, perfect for rehydrating and enjoying a local snack. Our journey continues with another 20 kilometers to Sneung, where we pause for a delicious local lunch overlooking a small roadside temple. A short rest on a traditional mat is just what’s needed before the final stretch.
In the afternoon, we cycle another 20 kilometers to reach Phnom Sampov, a dramatic limestone hill that features a sacred hilltop pagoda and mysterious caves with a deep historical significance. After our visit, we transfer by vehicle to avoid the busier traffic on the outskirts of Battambang.
Once Cambodia’s second-largest city, Battambang has now become a relaxed and culturally rich riverside town. Located along the Sangker River, it is known for its well-preserved French colonial architecture and traditional Khmer wooden houses.
A must-do experience here is the famous Battambang Bamboo Train (locally nicknamed the “Flying Bed”), a fun and unique ride on a makeshift railway cart that runs along rarely used train tracks, offering an unforgettable glimpse into local ingenuity and charm.
After breakfast, we transfer to the boat pier for one of Cambodia’s most iconic river journeys from Battambang to Siem Reap. This 6–7 hour boat trip offers an unforgettable way to experience rural life along the Sangker River and across the vast Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.
Our comfortable boat is equipped with a toilet and life jackets, ensuring a safe and relaxing trip. Along the way, witness the daily lives of fishermen, riverside communities, and floating villages that rely on these waters for survival. You’ll also pass the Prek Toal Bird Sanctuary, one of the most important wetland reserves in Southeast Asia, known for hosting thousands of migratory water birds and rare species.
In the early afternoon, we arrive at Chong Kneas Floating Village, where you’ll see an extraordinary community made up of Cambodian, Muslim, and Vietnamese families, all living in floating homes that shift with the rising and falling lake levels. The village offers a fascinating look into the resourcefulness and harmony of life on water.
After disembarking, we begin a gentle 15-kilometer countryside cycle ride to Siem Reap, passing through rice paddies, rural villages, and scenic landscapes before arriving at your hotel.
You’ll begin pedaling toward the Angkor Archaeological Park via the Angkor Pass checkpoint, your gateway to one of the world’s greatest cultural treasures.
As you cycle along scenic, shaded backroads (with occasional gentle bumps), the adventure unfolds with visits to a series of remarkable temples: Prasat Kravan, Banteay Kdei, Ta Prohm. From here, continue cycling to the ancient capital of the Khmer Empire Angkor Thom. Enter through the South Gate, a monumental stone arch carved with elephant motifs and four giant serene faces include Bayon Temple, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King.
After your morning ride through the spiritual and architectural wonders of the Khmer empire, enjoy a traditional Cambodian lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the journey continues with an in-depth visit to the magnificent Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world and a symbol of Cambodia. Take time to explore its grand galleries, towers, and intricate bas-reliefs that depict scenes from Hindu epics and Khmer history.
As the day winds down, cycle back and return to your hotel, filled with unforgettable memories from one of the most iconic days.
Today’s cycling adventure takes you beyond the temples and into the heart of Cambodia’s countryside. Pedal through scenic rural landscapes on quiet backroads as you make your way from Siem Reap to Kampong Phluk, a traditional fishing village on the edge of Tonle Sap Lake, Southeast Asia’s largest freshwater lake.
Along the ride, you’ll pass the Rolous Group temples, some of the earliest permanent structures built during the Angkor period, dating back to the 9th century. These lesser-visited ruins were once part of Hariharalaya, one of the first Khmer capitals.
Your destination, Kampong Phluk, offers a rare glimpse into authentic Cambodian life. Here, entire communities live in stilted homes and floating villages, adapting ingeniously to the rhythm of the lake’s rising and falling waters. A boat trip on Tonle Sap takes you through mangrove forests and local waterways, providing an intimate look at traditional fishing techniques, floating schools, and how locals sustain their livelihoods.
After your exploration, return to Siem Reap by private vehicle, closing another memorable day on your cycling journey through Cambodia.
After days of immersive cycling and cultural discovery, today is a well-earned rest day in Siem Reap, giving you the freedom to explore at your own pace or simply relax and recharge.
You might choose to revisit your favorite Angkor temples, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the lively Old Market and Pub Street, or indulge in a traditional Khmer spa treatment. For those interested in Cambodia’s arts scene, the Angkor National Museum or Phare Cambodian Circus offer unique insights into the country’s rich heritage and creative expression.
This is also a perfect opportunity to shop for handcrafted souvenirs, silk scarves, or locally-made ceramics or to simply relax by your hotel’s pool with a cool drink in hand.
We begin the day with an early morning cycle from Siem Reap to Kampong Thom, journeying through quiet rural roads and lush rice fields. Our destination is the ancient temple complex of Sambor Prei Kuk, one of the most significant pre-Angkorian archaeological sites in Cambodia. Built during the Chenla period (6th–7th century), this historical gem is on its way to becoming Cambodia’s next UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Your guide will lead an insightful walking tour through the mystical ruins of Sambor Prei Kuk, where centuries-old brick towers stand quietly amidst the forest. After the temple visit, we enjoy a traditional Cambodian lunch at a nearby local restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue your cycling adventure through the heart of Cambodia, riding past scenic rice paddies, palm trees, and welcoming villages where locals greet you with warm smiles and waves. It’s a truly immersive way to experience rural Cambodian life.
After completing today’s ride, we board our support vehicle for a 4-hour transfer to Phnom Penh, the charming Cambodian capital. Once known as the “Pearl of Asia,” Phnom Penh still retains its elegant French colonial architecture, tree-lined boulevards, and riverside charm.
Enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure, relaxing at the hotel or exploring the vibrant local scene.
Today is dedicated to exploring the rich cultural and historical layers of Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s vibrant capital. This guided city tour offers a powerful contrast between the grandeur of Cambodia’s royal heritage and the sobering legacy of its recent past.
Your morning begins at the magnificent Royal Palace, one of Phnom Penh’s most iconic landmarks, majestically situated at the confluence of the Mekong and Tonlé Sap Rivers. Built in 1866 by King Norodom, the complex still serves as the official residence of the King. Explore the ornate Coronation Hall, the Royal Dance Pavilion, and the Silver Pagoda, famed for its gleaming floor covered with over 5,000 pure silver tiles, each weighing one kilogram.
In the afternoon, your focus shifts to Cambodia’s turbulent 20th-century history. Begin at the Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S-21), a former high school turned into a secret prison and torture center during the Khmer Rouge regime. The haunting photographs and testimonies presented here serve as a stark reminder of the atrocities committed under Pol Pot’s rule. Please be advised: the content is emotionally intense and may be distressing.
Next, a short drive brings you to Choeung Ek, also known as the Killing Fields, where more than 17,000 Cambodians were executed and buried in mass graves during the Khmer Rouge era. Though the pits have faded, a towering stupa filled with over 8,000 human skulls stands as a solemn and moving memorial to the victims.
Return to your hotel for a reflective evening and overnight stay in Phnom Penh.
After a short transfer 15km outside the bustling traffic of Phnom Penh, we begin today’s Cambodia bike tour with a ride to explore Ta Phrom and Yeary Pov Temples, both dating back to the 12th century. Take a break for a refreshing snack and water before continuing to Phnom Chisor, where we’ll visit an 11th-century hilltop temple offering sweeping views of the surrounding countryside. Enjoy a packed lunch while soaking in the serene scenery.
In the afternoon, we cycle towards Takeo, passing Ta Mok’s house, the former Khmer Rouge general’s residence. Takeo, a quieter and lesser-visited town, holds deep historical significance. Later, we board a boat for a sunset cruise to Phnom Da, an ancient hilltop temple that was once the capital of the early Khmer Empire, known as Funan.
Today marks the final leg of your journey in Cambodia as part of the bike tours Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam. After breakfast and a quick Vietnam visa check, we top up on water and begin our 53-kilometer ride to the Phnom Den border crossing, heading toward Chau Doc in southern Vietnam.
We take a short break along the way for water and snacks before reaching the Cambodia–Vietnam border, where our Cambodian team will assist with immigration procedures. Once across, you’ll be greeted by our friendly Vietnamese crew, who will continue to guide you through the Mekong region.
After a local lunch near the border, we resume cycling into the heart of the Mekong Delta, one of the most fertile and scenic areas in Vietnam. Pedal past lush rice paddies, water buffalo, and rural villages, experiencing the vibrant green countryside and river life that defines this region.
We arrive in the riverside town of Chau Doc in the late afternoon. For those with energy left, there’s an option to climb Sam Mountain for panoramic views and a beautiful sunset over the delta landscape.
We begin the day with a boat ride on the upper Mekong River, visiting the unique floating fish farms where families raise catfish, red snapper, and other freshwater species right beneath their homes. Witness this remarkable way of life that blends tradition with innovation on the water.
Next, we continue by boat to visit a Cham Muslim village, home to around 12,000 people. Here, traditional hand-weaving of sarongs and hats continues as a way of preserving their ancestral heritage. We’ll visit a local mosque, where Cham children are taught Arabic and the tenets of Islam—offering a rare insight into the cultural diversity of the Mekong Delta.
After the boat excursion, we begin cycling along scenic rural roads from Chau Doc toward Bachuc or Triton, depending on road conditions. As the terrain gently rises, you’ll notice the Thnot palm trees, a clear indicator of proximity to the Cambodian border. The area is home to Khmer-speaking Vietnamese who reflect the blending of two cultures in this unique region.
In the afternoon, we make a sobering stop at the Killing Fields of Bachuc, where over 3,000 Vietnamese civilians were massacred by the Khmer Rouge in 1978. It’s a powerful reminder of the region’s complex and painful history.
We end the day with a transfer to Can Tho, the bustling heart of the Mekong Delta and your base for the night.
Today’s journey offers one of the most immersive Mekong Delta cycling experiences, with a relatively short riding distance that allows time to explore the vibrant side tracks and small village trails that reveal the true heart of the Delta.
We begin with a short boat transfer to Vinh Long, a town famed for its rich fruit orchards and riverside charm. From here, we cycle through a maze of narrow country lanes, dirt tracks, and local trails, giving you up-close access to everyday Mekong life.
This is cycling at its most intimate and beautiful, pedaling through tiny orchards, witnessing life unfold along canal-side homes, crossing countless wooden bridges, and exchanging smiles and greetings with the ever-friendly locals. Along the way, you’ll ride past colorful stilt houses, smell the fragrance of tropical fruit, and even chat with villagers as they go about their daily routines.
You’ll cross narrow canals aboard a traditional sampan, offering an authentic taste of how locals travel and trade within this water-based world. Later, a refreshing ferry ride across the wide Co Chien River marks the transition to your final stretch.
The last few kilometers take you to the charming town of Tra Vinh, one of the most beautiful and culturally rich towns in southern Vietnam. Known for its large Khmer population, peaceful ambiance, and shaded boulevards, Tra Vinh offers a perfect place to rest and reflect.
Today marks the final day of your unforgettable 15-day bike tours Thailand, Cambodia & Vietnam, and it’s a fitting conclusion, filled with immersive cycling, tranquil scenery, and authentic delta charm.
After breakfast, we set off on one last cycling adventure, navigating gravel and dirt trails that wind through quiet hamlets, lush vegetation, and over peaceful canals. Following a ferry ride across the wide Co Chien River, we continue riding through Tra Vinh’s shaded roads, a region known for its Khmer heritage and serene landscapes.
The journey today involves multiple river and canal crossings via local ferries, each one a reminder of how deeply the Mekong’s waterways shape life in this region. Our route takes us past banana plantations, sugarcane fields, and through the lush green countryside of southern Vietnam, offering one last taste of the rural beauty that has defined this journey.
Eventually, we reach My Tho, the official gateway to the Mekong Delta and the endpoint of our cycling journey. From here, we board our support vehicle for a comfortable transfer to Ho Chi Minh City, avoiding the increasingly busy roads as we near Vietnam’s largest metropolis.
Take time this evening to reflect on your incredible cross-border journey through Thailand, Cambodia, and Vietnam, a cycling experience filled with history, culture, nature, and warm local hospitality.
You will be led by one of our experienced local cycling guides. For groups with fewer than 5 participants, we will have one English-speaking cycling guide and a driver. For larger groups (6 or more), we’ll provide a Cycling Tour Leader, an additional English-speaking guide, and extra drivers and assistants.

We provide top-quality mountain bikes for all our cyclists. If you have your own bike, we recommend ensuring it’s fully serviced before the tour. Our guides carry a reliable toolkit and are skilled in basic bike repairs during the trip. However, some advanced repairs may require specialized tools.
A backup vehicle will accompany the group at all times, providing security and comfort. This vehicle will carry your luggage and offer a ride if you need assistance during the ride. It will stop roughly every 15 kilometers, ensuring that you can rest, hydrate, and enjoy the scenery.
Your safety is our top priority. Wearing a helmet is mandatory on all rides. If you choose not to wear a helmet, you won’t be permitted to cycle. All of our guides are trained in first aid and emergency rescue, but we encourage all cyclists to be mindful of their own safety during the ride.

You will cycle on back roads with lovely open landscapes and leisurely with plenty of stops in every 15km to enjoy snack and drink or taking photos. Our guides can also easily accommodate any type riders, in case you would not be able to complete the distance you would be able to jump into the support vehicle.
The tour is designed to accommodate cyclists of all skill levels, from beginners to seasoned riders. It’s not a race—everyone is encouraged to cycle at their own pace. While the route is physically demanding, you can always hop into the support vehicle if you need a break. We want everyone to enjoy the journey, not just the destination.

Our tour includes most major expenses. We recommend bringing about US$30 for incidentals like souvenirs, additional drinks, or optional activities. Any extra activities or food outside the itinerary will be at your own cost.
Vietnam: The official national currency is the Vietnam Dong, but the US dollar is widely accepted in tourist centers. However, in smaller towns and villages the Dong is preferred. ATMs are available in all major tourist destinations and big cities. Vietcombank has the best network with a single withdrawal limit of 2,000,000d (about US$125). Most major currencies can be exchanged at leading banks in Vietnam, but the US dollar is preferred away from the tourist centers. Changing US$100 will make you an instant millionaire! You cannot legally take the dong out of Vietnam but you can reconvert reasonable amounts of it into US dollars on departure.
Cambodia: US dollars and Thai baht are used extensively in cities. Cambodian riel is typically used in smaller towns. ATMs are common, and most dispense US dollars. You may need to use riel in rural areas.
Thailand: The Thai currency is the baht. ATMs, which are abundant, are the easiest ways to get Thai baht. Have a supply of US dollars in cash on hand, just in case your card doesn’t work. Banks or the rarer private moneychangers offer the best foreign-exchange rates. Credit cards are accepted in big cities and resort hotels but you’ll need baht for family-run guesthouses or restaurants.
Solo travelers are welcome on our tour! While our prices are based on twin-sharing accommodation, we will pair you with another solo traveler of the same gender. If you prefer a private room, this option is available at an additional cost.
