Money & Currency Tips for Cambodia and Laos
Cambodia:

In Cambodia, US dollars and Thai baht are commonly accepted, especially in larger cities and tourist areas. However, in smaller towns and rural villages, the Cambodian riel is often preferred. Most ATMs in Cambodia dispense US dollars, and your guides will point out the nearest machines during your tour. Be sure to spend all your riel before departing, as they cannot be exchanged outside of Cambodia.

Laos:

The official currency of Laos is the Lao kip, though US dollars and Thai baht are widely accepted in larger towns and cities. In smaller villages, kip is the primary currency used. While ATMs are available in some areas, they are not as widespread or reliable as in Cambodia. Be sure to spend or exchange all your kip before leaving, as it cannot be exchanged outside of Laos.

We warmly welcome solo travelers alongside couples and friends on our Bike Tours Cambodia & Laos. Our tour prices are based on twin-share accommodation, meaning if you sign up as a solo traveler, you will be paired with another participant of the same gender in your group.
